Imagine waking up one morning, putting on your favorite sneakers and… whoosh! 🚀 Instead of walking… you start flying!
Where would you go first? To school, soaring above the trees? To visit your best friend in another city? Or maybe take a stroll on the Moon? 🌙✨
Well, there’s a boy named Elvio who dreams of something just like that.
👴 Grandpa, Dad, and Elvio’s Dream
Elvio comes from a family of shoemakers.
-
His grandfather made shoes by hand, stitching leather and crafting pairs that lasted for years.
-
His dad modernized the tradition with machines and molds, producing many pairs for everyone.
But Elvio wants to go further. He proudly says:
“I will be the shoemaker of the future. And my shoes will even fly!” 🛸
👟 The Shoemaker of the Future
In Elvio’s imagination, tomorrow’s shoes will be created with:
-
3D printers that design unique shoes in seconds.
-
Eco-friendly materials that shine and protect the planet.
-
Smart sensors that learn how you walk.
-
And even tiny turbines to lift off the ground!
Elvio is sure that someday there will be a huge line…
👽 “Even aliens will wait in line to buy our flying shoes!”
🎨 Activity: “Design Your Flying Shoes!”
👉 After reading Elvio’s story, kids can invent their own shoes of the future.
🖌️ Step 1: Draw
Take a blank sheet of paper and some colored pencils.
-
What would your flying shoes look like?
-
Would they have wings, turbines, neon lights, or rockets?
-
What colors would they shine in the sky?
✍️ Step 2: Give Them a Special Power
Write (or ask an adult to write it for you) one sentence about the secret power of your shoes.
Examples:
-
“My shoes take me to explore the bottom of the ocean.” 🌊
-
“With my shoes I can jump from planet to planet.” 🪐
-
“Every step I take with them makes magical flowers grow.” 🌸
📸 Step 3: Share Your Creation
Ask your mom, dad, or grandparent for help and share your drawing in the blog comments, on social media using the hashtag #FlyingShoes, or simply keep it safe in your own ‘future inventions box’.
🚀 And You, What Would You Do With Them?
Elvio knows that trades never disappear, they just transform. What began as craftsmanship is now mixed with science and imagination.
And now I ask you:
👉 If you had flying shoes… what would be your very first adventure?
